Eletronuclear, the company that operates the Angra 1 nuclear power plant (Brazil), has awarded our subsidiary Tecnatom do Brasil a contract for the supply of butterfly valves to this Brazilian facility.
This contract contemplates the supply of manual, 20-inch safety-related butterfly valves (safety class III) for the plant’s services water system, which are to be manufactured in accordance with the ASME Code, section III and marked with the N- Stamp.
For the performance of this project, Tecnatom will collaborate closely with Ringo Válvulas, a Spanish company with which Tecnatom has had a collaboration agreement covering the nuclear industry for more than 15 years.
This new supply contract comes in the wake of other projects performed by the Tecnatom Group in Brazil in the areas of in-service inspection and training, in which we have been providing services to Angra nuclear power plant for more than 30 years. We also collaborate with the Brazilian fuel manufacturer (INB) and the country’s nuclear regulatory body.
