Tecnatom has participated in the Nuclear Energy Management School organised by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the United Arab Emirates. The event served to train 42 participants from the Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Sudan and aimed to increase awareness of the peaceful use of nuclear energy in areas such as safety, public acceptance and non-proliferation. This event was organised in collaboration with the Khalifa University, the Emirates regulatory authority,
Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation and Nawah Energy Company.
The course lasted for two weeks and 30 experts from the IAEA and other organisations delivered the training sessions. Among them, Tecnatom dealt with two areas of great importance: on the one hand the complete cycle of a nuclear power plant, from uranium mining to long-term operation and plant dismantling, and on the other a technical review of the most relevant events that have shaped the nuclear industry throughout its history.
Tecnatom provides support for the IAEA in all activities relating to the peaceful use of nuclear energy, participating in all the international events for which the Agency requests our collaboration.
