The company Nucleoeléctrica Argentina S.A. (NASA), the owner of Atucha nuclear power plant, has awarded Tecnatom a new contract for the supply of valves and spares. This is the second contract for the supply of Walthon Weir Pacific components to the Argentinean nuclear programme.
This order arises in the wake of an in-depth review of the design and materials of the valves, which date back to the beginnings of plant operation, 4 decades ago.
Alliance with the manufacturer Ringo Válvulas
This contract consolidates our alliance with the Spanish manufacturer Ringo Válvulas, with which Tecnatom has a collaboration agreement for the supply of spares and valves. We work together with Ringo to offer high-quality components on the international market, taking advantage of our synergies in the qualification and dedication of nuclear components.
This new project, which follows the one awarded in 2017 for Atucha 2 nuclear power plant, allows us to continue to use our capabilities to support the Argentinean nuclear programme, in which we have been involved for decades in a number of fields, such as inspection, simulation, training and the supply of technology.
