EDF awards Tecnatom Group a contract valued at over £30 million for the Pre-Service Inspection services at the HPC nuclear power plant.
This award will strengthen our objective to provide to the UK new nuclear programme, our significant expertise in component integrity assessment. We are proud to be part of the team working on HPC, which is a significant contributor to the UK Government strategy for decarbonising all sectors of the UK economy to meet our net zero target by 2050.
Under the terms of the framework contract, Tecnatom Group will deliver its expertise in the field of Non-Destructive Services to the new HPC nuclear power plant and contribute to the success of the start up of the first new generation plant in the United Kingdom since Sizewell B in 1995. The contracted scope of work focuses on the assessment of the integrity of the critical components located in the primary and balance of plant circuit.
The Project is programmed over five years period with Tecnatom Group delivering self-developed techniques and tooling to EDF. Tecnatom Field Services Team shall be deployed to carry out Pre-Service non-destructive examinations, during final stage of the construction works of both units with the support of local and international supply-chain partners.
Tecnatom is fully confident that this contract is the first step in its contribution to the successful completion and commercial operation start of HPC nuclear power plant and future projects of the UK Nuclear programme.
