On March 11th last, representatives of the different Spanish nuclear power plants and of ENUSA and UNESA met at the Tecnatom headquarters in San Sebastian de los Reyes for the 13th working session on inspection.
Tecnatom presented the latest inspection and testing equipment technologies and technical evolutions to its clients. Javier Alonso, Director of Inspection and Testing Services, kicked off the session, which this year included a number of papers in the areas of check valve diagnosis, inspection by means of FastEco techniques, improvement and optimization of the In-Service Inspection Manual (MISI) management process, application of the EMAT-generated ultrasonics inspection technology and the integral service for the maintenance of concrete structures.
The session also included the performance of several practical demonstrations of the latest inspection technologies developed by Tecnatom. The day’s activities concluded with a visit to the HVAC test bench, where filter efficiency tests were performed.
The organization of this type of working sessions is of special interest for the development of closer direct communications between the different players in the sector and to gain a more detailed insight into their demands and concerns. Tecnatom is grateful for the trust placed in us by the Spanish nuclear professionals for the organization of these meetings, which we plan to continue in the future.
