ANAV, the company operating the Ascó and Vandellós nuclear power plants, has awarded Tecnatom a contract for the diagnosis and maintenance of motor-operated valves at Ascó I nuclear power plant, to be performed during the group’s forthcoming refuelling outage. For the performance of this service, Tecnatom has a fleet of adaptable in-house test benches and tools allowing the company to cover the entire range of actuators existing in the plant. Likewise, Tecnatom has ample experience of providing these services at other plants, on both the national nuclear and conventional fossil-fuelled generation markets. For the rendering of this service at Ascó, a multidisciplinary diagnosis and maintenance (mechanical and electrical) team has been put in place, in collaboration with the company Enwesa.
The awarding of this contract consolidates Tecnatom’s position in this field and increases the company’s specialisation in this type of valve diagnosis services, the aim being to apply this technology in accordance with preventive maintenance criteria.
