The 10th International Nuclear Power Plant Instrumentation and Control and Human-Machine Interface Technologies Congress (NPIC&HMIT 2017) was held during the month of June in San Francisco. Tecnatom participated actively in this event, with ten papers on different issues and a commercial stand in the exhibition area.
As a result of the new concept “Delivering the Nuclear Promise“, the US nuclear power plants are making important efforts to digitalise and modernise their facilities, with a view to increasing their efficiency compared to other electricity generation
technologies. In this respect, Tecnatom is in a position to bring great value not only in the analysis of the modernisations and their implementation, but also in the introduction of new operating aid systems (such as the computerised procedures tool), which helps the plants to achieve greater efficiency in their processes.
Our continuous participation in this type of events consolidates our position in the field of instrumentation and control or human factors engineering, also strengthening our relations with the clients on the North American market, which is especially relevant for Tecnatom’s business.
