In the current framework where the potential of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is palpable in all sectors, the need arises to address its challenges and risks with responsibility and ethics in its application. Precisely for this reason, we have prepared a study that has resulted in a publication that includes recommendations and best practices on the responsible use of GenAI in companies.
After almost a year of effort and collaboration, we present the result of this working group. During the last months we have had the privilege of being part of and coordinating a COTEC (Cotec Foundation for Innovation) Working Group with a crucial mission at present: to elaborate a document on the responsible implementation of Generative AI.
Representing Tecnatom and hand in hand with Repsol, we have worked together with more than 40 representatives of member entities of the Foundation, merging our perspectives and knowledge to offer a comprehensive approach to this currently booming topic.
The result of our efforts is a publication that identifies six key aspects for the effective introduction of Generative AI, ranging from identifying use cases to understanding the financial models necessary for its successful implementation.
We also address topics such as the differences between GenAI and “traditional” AI, the advantages of GenAI over other technologies, the precautions to be taken when using it, and the different profiles that we have determined exist when applying this technology: adaptor, adopter or developer.
Undoubtedly, this process has been full of challenges, advances and, above all, joint learning about this emerging technology. The commitment, dedication and collaboration of such an exceptional team passionate about AI is clearly reflected in the final document.
This publication not only represents a milestone in our work together, but also marks a step forward on the road to responsible implementation of GenAI. We are convinced that this document will have a positive impact on the community and hope that it will serve as a valuable resource for all those interested in exploring the potential of this technology in an ethical and effective manner. In conclusion, this achievement demonstrates that when we join forces and share knowledge and experiences, we can address the most complex challenges and move towards a more innovative and responsible future. We look forward to seeing how this publication inspires further discussion and action in the field of Generative AI.
