On October 25th and 26th last, the Spanish Maintenance Association (AEM) organised its 15th Sessions on Maintenance in the Energy Sector in Oviedo. These sessions included debate on different aspects of maintenance of interest for the national energy sector.
The sessions were attended by an outstanding representation of the different electricity utilities in the industrial sector and service companies, and several dozen papers were presented.
Among other subjects, there were debates on the way in which the different processes of digitalisation are being addressed in the electricity industry and the challenges posed by the monitoring of assets, all with a view to improving the scheduling of maintenance activities.
Tecnatom participated actively in sponsoring the event and presented the paper “From off-line testing to the monitoring of Power Transformers”, which reviewed the state of the art of current field measurement technology and frameworks for monitoring allowing for a better approach to the predictive maintenance of power transformers.
