The company operating Krsko nuclear power plant (Slovenia) has awarded Tecnatom the supply of butterfly valves for the plant within the framework of an international call for bids.
This contract contemplates the supply of butterfly valves driven by safety-related motor-operated actuators (safety class) of 6 and 8” in size for the alternative residual heat removal (ARHR) system of this Slovenian nuclear facility. Furthermore, these valves must be manufactured in accordance with the ASME Code, Section III and be N- Stamped.
Ringo Válvulas, a Spanish company with which Tecnatom has had a collaboration agreement covering the nuclear industry for more than 15 years, will be in charge of manufacturing the valves.
This supply is included within the framework of the design modifications of the plant’s safety improvement project and consolidates Tecnatom’s position at Krsko as a reference supplier for different activities such as inspection, testing, engineering and operational support.
