Tecnatom, in collaboration with the Nuclear Safety Council, the IRSN (France) and the GRS (Germany), has undertaken a project to provide technical support for the Chinese regulatory body, with a view to reinforcing its capacities in different areas of competence.
This European Union project has involved several Tecnatom organisations in the fields of safety management, simulator and teaching materials development and emergency support. These organisations have provided support for the Nuclear Safety Council in a number of activities, the following being especially significant: analysis of LOCA events in PWR reactors, analysis of severe accidents and operating experience.
Included within the framework of this project was technical support for the Chinese regulator in Beijing and a period of training for the Chinese personnel at our headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes.
