A few weeks ago the activities awarded to Tecnatom by the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) for the 14th refuelling outage at group 2 of the Laguna Verde nuclear power plant, in Mexico, came to an end.
The scope of Tecnatom’s intervention in this outage focussed on valve diagnosis, the maintenance and functional testing of snubbers, the measurement of thicknesses of piping and components and the inspection of heat exchangers using eddy current techniques.
In addition, within the scope of this work Tecnatom has provided level III technicians in various inspection techniques who lent their support in the refuelling activities. These activities involved the mobilisation of a large number of Tecnatom workers and people from local companies.
