Tecnatom continues to support the Argentinean nuclear program and, within this framework, has given the course “PWR nuclear technology, nuclear accidents, radiological consequences and hydrogen value chain”. This training program is part of the International Postgraduate Courses dictated under the BEC.AR II program of the Ministry of Education of the Argentine Republic.
About forty students have participated in this course whose objectives have been the familiarization with the main systems of PWR technology, basic notions of its operation, the analysis of postulated accidents, the safety systems designed to avoid them and their possible radiological consequences.
The classes, distributed over five months, concluded with a week at Nucleoeléctrica Argentina’s facilities, at the Atucha Nuclear Complex, where two of the country’s three nuclear power plants are located.
Nucleoeléctrica Argentina has highlighted the great professionalism and technological knowledge of Tecnatom when teaching the courses. Tecnatom has maintained for years a solid presence in the Argentine nuclear program where we have participated in training, inspection and equipment supply activities at the Embalse and Atucha nuclear power plants.
