Tecnatom has been awarded a contract for the BOP training of Iberdrola operations personnel for the Altamira and Bajío cogeneration electricity-generating plants that Tamoin is constructing in Mexico. These plants will provide electricity and steam to the Dynasol and Kimberly chemistry sector multinationals, respectively.
The scope of the training to be provided by Tecnatom includes the technological description of systems and operation, covering the different plant operating modes, and the main plant start-up and shutdown sequences.
Iberdrola is the number one private electricity generator in Mexico and is currently carrying out important projects that will allow it to achieve 10,000 MWe of installed power by 2020, consolidating its leadership position in the country.
With this new contract, Tecnatom reinforces its position in the conventional thermal power sector in Mexico, a country of strategic importance for the activities of the Group.
